Ichiyo Ikebana of Buffalo at the Buffalo Bonsai Society Annual Exhibition 2024.

This year, the Buffalo Bonsai Society Annual Exhibition was held at the Community Room in the Administration Building at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens.  Many trees were exhibited and bonsai and art vendors were present. Some of the trees on display are shown below along with viewing stones (suiseki).

There was a corner of the room where Ichiyo Ikebana of Buffalo exhibited arrangements and a demonstration was done at 1:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.  Two arrangements were created at each demonstration.

Anyone interested in learning more about the Buffalo Bonsai Society can visit their website.

Usually, a larger display area is used for the display of ikebana arrangements, but due to unforeseen events, we had a smaller display area this year.   However, there was an opportunity for visitors to the botanical gardens to not only see a live demonstration, but ask questions about ikebana.

There were also vendors offering their art and supplies.
